Good news for female drivers

In amongst all of the negativity and doom and gloom in the press following Brexit (please stop being negative and be positive), there could be some good news for female drivers. A 2012 EU directive banned insurers from giving different insurance premiums to men and women effectively preventing underwriters from underwriting.

For safe driving do the smart thing – do not use your phone

We all love our smart phones and use them frequently to take pictures and videos of family and friends which we share on social media sites like Facebook. What is worrying though, is that increasing numbers of UK drivers appear to be using their smart phones while on the road.

We’ve all heard stories of crashes caused by drivers texting. A recent survey of 1500 drivers has found almost a quarter who had seen an advert on the back of a lorry or van tried to enter the website address they had seen while still on the road.

Common sense tells us that texting and searching online while driving are a bad idea and could even be fatal...

Crash for Cash Scam

Andrew Price from Coversure (Hull), urges local residents and businesses to look out for “crash for cash” scams locally. “Hull may not be one of the places mentioned on the national radio or television, but this is a phenomenon that is widespread and could affect us all. The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) currently has 24 joint police operations up and down the country.”
